Nose work and distractions…
Last week there was a school event going on while we were working our dogs in nose work. Prior to class I hid scent 1 in the swingset area, scent 1 and 2 in the slide structure and scent 2 only in the undercover area. Just as we started to work the dogs a number of children and their parents came out to play! It was great to see our dogs stay focused and find the scents. They worked each area in turn, while the other dogs stayed around the corner. The children enjoyed seeing the dogs work and Dash got to do a little “doberman public service” as she allowed them to pet her.
